About Airforce Airguns
What's so Special About Airforce Airguns?

A pre-charged pneumatic from Airforce is more than just another air gun, it’s an entire shooting system! All Airforce rifles feature quick-change barrels that enable owners to easily change out calibers or upgrade their rifles. In addition, shooters themselves can easily adjust power levels downwards for quiet backyard plinking or upwards for serious small game hunting and pest control. Airforce rifles also feature three integral dovetail mounting rails which accept optical or open sights, bipods, nightvision, scope levels, flashlights, and much more. Test one and you’ll see why this American made airgun has become an instant hit.

Who is Airforce?

Airforce air guns are one of the few pre-charged pneumatic air guns made in the USA. The Fort Worth based company started-up in the 1990’s with one goal in mind: to design an affordable, lightweight and accurate pre-charge pneumatic air gun with user-adjustable power levels. It was a challenging undertaking; as not only did the company have to design the airgun, but it also had to put the production processes in place! But the end result was definitely worth it! Airforce air rifles are one of the most technologically advanced airguns in the world, and because they are made here in the USA, warranty service and spare parts are always readily available.

What's the Difference Between These Airgun Models?

The Airforce Talon made its U.S. debut in 1999 and response among air gun community was tremendous. In 2001, the TalonSS was added to the product line, and just this year, the new super-high power Condor joined the Airforce family. The lowest priced of the three rifles is the Talon. The TalonSS is slightly higher in price but offers sound suppression while the Condor is the most powerful. Don’t forget, however, that both the Talon and the TalonSS can be upgraded to achieve the Condor’s power while the Condor can be converted into a Talon SS with a few easily installed parts. All Airforce rifles are single shot, use Lothar Walther match barrel for high degree of accuracy and have an automatic safety.

How Much Power and Velocity Can the Airforce Put Behind My Pellets?

All Airforce rifles have self-adjustable power levels. The Talon and the TalonSS are capable of shooting between 400 and 1,100 feet per second with a maximum effective range of about 60 yards. The more powerful Condor can shoot as far as 100 yards out at velocities of 600 to 1,250 feet per second. However, remember that an air guns’s power depends upon on caliber, barrel length, and projectile weight, so your actual results may vary. With an Airforce airgun, you should expect to get about 50 consistent shots per fill when shooting at higher velocities (i.e., 800-1,100 ft/sec.). At lower velocities (300-500 ft./sec.) you should get about 250 solid shots per fill.
